Stories of a wife, mom, and foodie just making her way through life one glass of wine at a time
About Me
Growing up in a small town next to a big city was just a tease to me. I dreamt of the time I could finally make my way over the Mississippi River to indulge my life in all that St. Louis has to offer. Well my time has come and here I am. I am embracing my new city of diversity, culture, and great food! I love to try new things and anyone that knows me I have an opinion for anything and everything! Now I can tell it even when people don't want to listen! Ha! My life itself can get crazy (I mean 4 kids! Come on, that's crazy within itself!) and has had a lot of ups and downs. Some pretty funny and some heartbreaking, but all have just made me who I am. One thing I have noticed in life is that we are all so quick to share our ups but when we have a down we clam up. Is it out of fear, embarrassment, or pride? Maybe a little of all three? Well one of the reasons for me to start this blog is to break that barrier and be one to step up and discuss my downs not just my ups, and share my life even if some parts are hard to disclose.
Please don't worry though and think this blog is going to be a Debbie Downer because that was not my intention. I have such great (and pretty funny) kids and with that many stories that will make you laugh. You would think I am an expert by now but I am sooo totally still learning. Poor kids! I'm sure I will be blamed for something later in their life...isn't it always the parent's fault?
I also am a complete and utter food junkie! My husband likes to call me "The Food Snob" but I take that as a compliment. I don't look at it as a snob but more like selective. I love when I get to go out to eat and taste other people's creations of flavors. I swear my heart starts to race just thinking of the next place I get to go! I also come from a family that I am proud to say are amazing cooks. I call that being blessed! ;-) Every family get together is based around the menu. We all take pride in our meals. Oh and please do not fret wine is always at our table.
Hope you enjoy my stories and welcome to my life. All I ask is for no judgment or ridicule just acceptance. Please remember all this is is just Life According to Moi...
